PUHELINSEKSI ‎– Vieraita Toisillemme

Playing bittersweet, wistful punk rock, Puhelinsexki will release their second full-length album in June 2022. The two sold-out mini-LPs released by Svart Records, as well as the cult-popular debut album Sydänkohtaus tanssilottialla (2020), will be followed up when Vieraita toisillellemme, recorded at Jääli Studio Vanhatie in the summer of 2021, sees the light of day.

The songs on the album deal with loneliness, alienation, mental health issues and, of course, a broken heart. The stories on the album are in the eye of the storm, looking at the chaos around them. Still, a small smile crosses your lips through the tears as you accept the fleeting nature of things and feelings. The album is clearly more heartbreaking than its predecessor and shows a new, more serious side of Puhelinsexki. The oppressive choruses and longing guitar melodies are in place, as well as the touching lyrics that are characteristic of the band.
